Continues Search for Side Curtain Airbags.

Hello 2012! When the semester break ended for 2011, we as a group didn't get to do much due to two of the team members leaving the country. So once the semester started for 2012 we got straight back into our project. Last week we spoke to Gerry about the airbags and gave us useful tips and ideas. This week we decide to head over to picka parts looking for side curtain airbags, trigger and a sensor but seems luck wasn't upon us that day. We could't retrieve any airbags of what so ever that day. We then decided to drive around looking for a workshop which had parts for sale. We came across 1 just down the road which had side curtain airbags, but the owner was doggy as hell telling us that side curtain airbag doesn't need a trigger or sensor so we thought we'd just look else where hoping we could find 1. As for me researching on types of gases used in an airbag was abit of a problem since most airbags now days use dangerous gas. I found a natural gas called Argon which therefore isn't harmful to people, does not react and also does not combust which is often found on smaller type airbags. With this Argon gas i think we are one step closer to finding out our safe and natural gas used in airbags.
